Developing a Well Written IEP

Description: This comprehensive course is designed to equip special education professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to develop clear, compliant, and effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Participants will explore the essential components of an IEP, including present levels of academic achievement and functional performance (PLAAFP), measurable annual goals, accommodations, modifications, and service delivery models. Through interactive activities, case studies, and practical writing exercises, learners will gain confidence in crafting IEPs that are student-centered, legally sound, and aligned with best practices. Emphasis will be placed on using data to inform decisions and ensuring that IEPs support meaningful progress for students with disabilities.
